0/1-10V dimming in lighting project
0-10v dimming is divided into: 0-10v and 1-10v, they are all input 0/1-10v analog signal (according to 0-10v voltage amplitude) to control the average current flowing through the LED, generally through control Dimming is realized by PWM waveform.
Only the dimmer is 1-10V: when the resistance dimmer is adjusted to the minimum 1V, the output current is also 10%, such as 10V (adjusted to the maximum), the output current will also reach 100% of the power output, brightness It will also be 100% (the output voltage is constant).
Remarks: 1-10V has no switch function, and the lamp cannot be adjusted to the lowest off function!
Principle of 0/1-10v dimming:
The power supply is designed with a control chip. When a 0-10V or 1-10V dimmer is connected, the output current of the power supply can be changed by changing the voltage of 0/1-10V. For example: when the 0-10V dimmer is modulated to 0V, the current drops to 0, and the brightness of the light is turned off (a switch is used). When the 0-10V dimmer is adjusted to 10V, The output current will also reach 100% of the power output, and the brightness will also be 100%. (The output voltage is constant). Like this:
When the resistance dimmer is adjusted to a lower 1V, the current to change the output is also 10%. For example, when it is 10V (adjusted to the highest), the output current will reach 100% of the power output, and the brightness will also be 100%. (Output The voltage is constant).
Remarks: 1-10V has no switch function, so the lamp can not be adjusted to the low off action channel!
The difference between 0-10v and 1-10v dimming: the turn-on and turn-off voltages of lamps are different, 0-10V dimming turns on at 0.3V, and turns off the output of lamps when it is less than 0.3V; 1-10V dimming at 0.7~ 0.8V turns on, the signal is lower than 0.6V to turn off the lamp output.
Principle of PWM dimming:
Pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming: The frequency of the PWM signal is required to be greater than 500Hz, and the amplitude is greater than 10V. By changing the pulse width method to change its brightness.
The advantages of 0-10v dimming power supply are simple application, good compatibility, high precision, and good dimming effect.
Disadvantages of the 0-10V dimming power supply: high construction requirements, separate signal lines need to be laid, and single lamp control cannot be achieved in the dimming system.
Of course, which dimming method to choose depends on the lamp parameters and lighting design requirements.
